Stone Art

Rock surfaces are prominent in Stone Age art. People carved into rock, painted on rocky cave walls, made figurines from stone and, toward the end of the Stone Age, constructed crude stone architecture.

Using the modern techniques and creative ideas we can even make rocks into glittering stocks..... Just one example is stone art....

Just one sample image of masterpiece for your sight....

Embossing Paintings

Painting is something that has, is and will always be my cling on! For me, when words and actions have failed to do justice, my paint brush has always come to the rescue 🙂 Well, I recently got hold of pictures of quite a few of my paintings and art work that I have created recently so I have a number of painting related posts lined up in the queue. I have been painting on various mediums since childhood, and in this post, I am going to talk about emboss painting.

Emboss painting is basically carving a design on a surface such that it appears to be raised. It can be done on harder surfaces like an aluminium foil or softer and more flexible surfaces like a cloth. Emboss painting on a velvet cloth is not too hard to get started with.

Here is one of my recent paintings which I have done and just thought of sharing with you for your reference. In case of any one who liked it and wish to own one just reach me or you can post your contact details in my blog.

Just in short few details:-

The Kollam–Sengottai branch line (formerly known as Quilon–Shencottah or Quilon–Chenkotta line) is a railway line in South India which connects Kollam Junction in Kerala state and Sengottai (also spelled Shencottah, Shenkottai, Chengottai, Chenkottai, Senkottai) in Tamil Nadu. The Quilon–Shencottah railway line was the first railway line in the erstwhile Travancore state and is more than a century old. The Kollam–Sengottai section is part of the Kollam–Chennai metre gauge rail route commissioned by the British in 1904. The line has been completely converted to broad gauge and is now fully operational from Kollam Junction to Shengottai.
